The 3 Inch Recessed Round Fixed IP44 Downlight is built for projects where you want a quiet ceiling profile, reliable light quality, and real moisture protection. The 3 inch aperture gives a balanced architectural scale that works in both residential and commercial layouts, while the round form keeps the ceiling language soft and clean.
This fixture is offered in two ceiling expressions. The micro flange version provides a crisp, minimal border that finishes cleanly against drywall or wood ceilings. The trimless version is designed for plaster-in applications, disappearing into the ceiling once mudded and painted. Both versions share the same housing, optics, and light engine, so performance stays identical. You are only choosing the finishing style.
Because the optic is fixed, light placement is predictable and easy to plan. It is ideal for ambient grids, corridors, and spaces where uniform coverage matters more than aiming flexibility. The COB LED and precision reflector system produce a smooth beam with controlled falloff and strong cut-off, reducing glare and keeping light comfortable in everyday use. Multiple beam spreads are typically available, allowing the same fixture family to handle wider ambient duties or slightly tighter feature emphasis without changing trims across the project.
