The trimless version is designed for plaster-in ceilings, creating a fully seamless look once mudded and painted. Both versions share the same housing, light engine, and optics, so you get identical beam quality and output regardless of trim style.
Because the optic is fixed, your lighting layouts stay consistent and easy to plan.
