An exterior grazer and cove light in high-density extruded aluminum with an optical-grade PC lens. A single row of high-brightness LEDs in a low-profile housing, two standard lengths, several beam angles, for wall washing, grazing, flood, signage, and garden accents. Runs on direct AC power, so no external driver is needed.

Illuminance on the wall is inverse-square from the tested distribution in NL82D-4FT-40W-3000K.ies, taken at the angle each point on the wall sits off the beam axis, with the cosine of incidence on a vertical surface. Where the wall is lit from, and how far the beam reaches out, are geometry from the rated beam angle and the setback. A grazer is not specified to put lux on plaster, so the last column is what the wall READS once it reflects: 0.50 for painted plaster, which is assumed rather than measured. That is the figure that decides how much the wall gives the room, and on a dark stone at 0.10 it is a fifth of it off the same fixture and the same lux. The lux on the wall does not change with its finish, because a flat wall does not light itself. For a layout across a whole elevation, send us the drawings.
