Buy tax exempt with a resale certificate

If you buy for resale, we can keep your resale or exemption certificate on file so qualifying orders and quotes are not charged sales tax.

Send us your certificate

Email the certificate to info@nuordic.com from the address on your account, after you apply for a trade account or once it is open. We check it and add it to your account; there is nothing to upload on the website.

If you hold certificates for more than one state, send each one.

When an order is exempt

• It ships to the certificate's state. A certificate covers one US state, and the exemption applies when the order's ship-to address is in that state.
• The certificate is current. One with an expiry date counts through the end of that day.
• Anything uncertain is taxed. An order shipping to another state or outside the US, or a certificate that has expired, is charged sales tax as usual.

When we add or update your certificate, any quotes we have not yet sent you are recalculated so they carry the right tax.

Trade firms with several people

Buyers on a firm's team are exempt under the owner's certificates, on the same rules. Viewers do not order, so they are not covered. See give your team access to your trade account.
